Haverford Recreation Department In-house League The Blaze has partnered with the Haverford Township Recreation Department and created a developmental/recreational league for 1st through 4th graders. There will be one practice and one game a week, and the games will be played using modified lacrosse rules. This is a Recreation Department administered program with heavy consultation from the Blaze organization. The program generally begins in mid April and runs through the end of May. Importantly, the Blaze is still fielding a 4th grade travel team. Evaluations for this team will take place in late February or very early March. If you have 4th grader who would like to try out for the Blaze 4th grade travel team, just register your child during open registration for the Blaze (registration is open now). You have the option of not paying until your child makes the team, or you can pay now and be reimbursed in full if your child does not make the team. More information about the Township program will be available in the Winter/Spring Havagood Times, which comes out in January.
